Since the founding of Steamway in 1968, Steamway has stood for quality and leadership in the restoration and cleaning industry.

Father and son, John and Tom Scott started Steamway Cleaning in Mitchell, South Dakota with the first purchase of equipment for carpet cleaning. From then, they expanded into restoring homes after fire/smoke and water damage. With each new avenue of business, Tom saw the importance and value of being educated by the best instructors in the industry. From the beginning, Tom never settled for second best. Steamway is a name community members recognize and trust.

In order to better serve our customers, Steamway has continuously explored new technologies and stayed at the forefront of the best equipment and products as well as continuing education for all our employees.

Since the founding over 40 years ago, Steamway has expanded and now serves eastern South Dakota and parts of Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa. We are proud of the work we do and excited for the next 40 years of business.
