Alien has three award-winning tattoo artists

Alien & Co. Tattooing and Piercing has been open in Sioux Falls, SD, since 1998. We have been in the current location at 738 S. 1st Ave since March of 2005. We have three full-time tattoo artists and one part-time body piercer. We would like to thank everyone for voting us Local Best for the 6th year in a row!

Steve "Alien" Butterfield has been tattooing for 32 years and has studied tattooing with Doc. Web, Lyle Tuttle, and Don Nolan. Alien has been featured in many magazine articles over the years. The most recent major article was in Skin & Ink Magazine in 2009 listing Master Masons and Master Inkers. Steve was mentioned along with Sailor Jerry as among the well-known Tattoo Artists whom are also Master Masons. Steve "Alien" enjoys the Traditional and Oriental style of tattooing and is well known for his portrait work. He has won many awards for his tattooing, some of which are displayed in the shop.

Dustin Buri has been tattooing since 2009. He has a background in Visual Arts and Print Making at USD. Dustin apprenticed under Alien and has studied tattooing extensively over the last few years. Dustin also received awards for his tattoo work within his first two years of tattooing and has built quite a portfolio of his work. Dustin's favorite style of tattooing is Old School, New School and Realistic.

Kevin Derochie has been tattooing since 2008. Kevin started tattooing in Sioux City at M. Blazin and Inkfliction and then moved up here to work at Alien & Co. Kevin has won awards for his work and has an extensive portfolio of artwork. Kevin enjoys tattooing full color New School tattoos and Black & Grey Realistic tattoos.

Heath Ness has been piercing since 2005. Heath is in the shop on a part-time basis. Heath has experience doing any type of piercing, with his favorite piercing being microdermals. He enjoys finding unique jewelry for his clients. Call the shop to check on piercing hours.
